One afternoon, in the school cafeteria, a little boy accidentally dropped his glass of juice. It spilled across the table, dripping onto the floor.
The boy froze, embarrassed. Some children immediately laughed, pointing at the mess. Others complained, “Now our lunch is ruined!”
A teacher, hearing the commotion, walked over calmly. Without scolding, she picked up some tissues, cleaned the spill, and handed the boy a fresh glass of juice. “Accidents happen,” she said gently.
Watching from another table, I realized: the spilled juice was not the real problem. The same accident created laughter for some, anger for others, and calm for the teacher. The difference was not in the event, but in how each person responded.
Moral: Life is 10% what happens to us, and 90% how we respond.
